HI, THERE, THANKS FOR STOPPING BY
My name is Richard and I am a likable guy and if you don't believe me just ask my wife La Rue.
We Live in Wolfforth, Texas and La Rue retired in June of 2010 and I retired in April of 2011.
La Rue and I are working toward being married for 48 years. We have several hobbies like--we like working with and helping kids of all ages. We retired from the Children's Home of Lubbock after 12 years or so or service. I am a writer, a studier and a researcher.
Our Website is 4uheart.com and it is named that for several reasons. Although, the main page is still sort of hanging out there waiting on completion.
The biggest one of course is that while on vacation several years ago--I had a heart attack..followed a year or so later by having a couple of stints put in--then to make things interesting a couple of years ago I had a light stroke.
Between the two I have been doing a lot of research on the meds that one can get caught up in. Not good--So, I can tell you that as of now--I do take some vitamims and minerals and one dietary supplement for my heart. I do not have to take prescription drugs for any of this.
Also to make this work my doctor at the time who also had a DO tacked on the end of all his degrees gave me two things to take that has from the last test anyway pretty much cleared up all my arteries and I do not take them any longer.
And, while I am not exactly cheap--perhaps economical minded works here I have found places where I do buy things at 50% off and sometimes more.
One year about 10 years ago I helps the Children's home purchase pots and pans sets that cost $1395.00 for around $400.00 apiece.
Now those pan are still in use and the biggest problem is in the cottage where kids tend to break or throw things and we have lost a handle or two or three.
Today, I share those opportunities here so if you don't see anything interesting just wait a while.
And while I do not rant and rave about the politices of our nation--I do have things to say that I think about--Like we have to find ways to reduce the schisms among us. I do have some ideas as to how to do that--and, it does not matter how old we are or aren't.
And, the last reason for the "4" in 4uheart is that I have been and still am an Evangelist for the church of Christ[retired from active pulpit work}.
Most of us do not understand the problem that we have with God--hang around me for a while and you will know but what you do with it believe it or not is not up to me but up to you.
I don't like being lied to and believe me the kids in care quickly came to understand that La Rue hates liars. Telling the truth is harder on everyone--but it works the best.
We as human beings have been and still are being lied to--you may not know that you are but hang around a while and you will begin to see and decide how well you like having your chain yanked being pushed and pulled in directions you really don't want to go. ESP. when you think "you get to do it--life--your way!"
One example--Go out and try to purchase a narrow tie when everyone is selling wide ones.
Those type and kind of tactics are being used on us today in all aspects of our lives.
